Freshman Shop Work:
Reflection
This year we worked on a lot of things in our shop. We worked on programing and web design. We had a lot of challenges but it was fun as well. I especially loved the python adventure game project and dream vacation project. They were fun and challenging. So I am going to go more in depth about them.
The python adventure game project was the most fun programming assignment we did this year. It taught me with enough creativity and skill you can make an enjoyable masterpiece. I based my project on my favorite game series Fallout. It was a test of our strengths of creating functions and making them work. I worked on it unhesitantly and worked with a passion that made the final project that much better.
The hardest part of the python adventure game was definitely my own ideas that I wanted to include but did not have the time to add. There were many things I had wanted to add but due to time constraints I could not add them. This showed me to think more about what goes and what stays.
Reflection
The dream vacation project was the most fun web design project we did this year. It taught me with even a realistic budget you can still make a plan for an enjoyable vacation. It was a big test for our skills using lists and CSS style sheets. We had to go to a place for 4 days and with only a budget of $2000. It was very difficult to plan for this amount of money but I did it and enjoyed the final result.
The hardest part of the dream vacation project was definitely the budget. I felt like the budget limited the ideas for a vacation. Even though it was hard, I finally got the perfect vacation for the budget. This showed me that if you are persistent enough you can always get a final result you're proud of.
So in conclusion I have learned and grown a lot during this year in our shop. I loved my time in my shop and I am excited for what's to come in the future.
